Purchased on Steam: Do I have to manually update?

I see a bunch of threads about people asking about their Perfect Team, but on my screen it says it has yet to launch. Did these people set up their team before PT had to be frozen to debug? Or do I just need to uninstall and reinstall the game in STEAM?

There's nothing you have to do.

People who pre-ordered the game via OOTP's web store received, as an open beta, early access to the game and were able to register teams and play in Perfect Team mode. This access is still open to those web store customers who have chosen to hold off on installing the official OOTP 23 release build.

Having the game autoupdate is alone worth waiting until release. I pre ordered last year and regretted it all season long

If you want to access PT in beta on STEAM follow Markus instructions as I copied and pasted here:

How to access the beta on Steam:
Quit OOTP 23 if it's running.
Open Steam client -> Library
Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 23
Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: ootp23betapt
Click on "Check code"
Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.
