AI assigns wrong positions
In a historical game, the AI assigned the 1963 Phillies outfield and infield exactly backward in terms of fielding ability.
Mike de la Hoz should have been at short; he was at second. Danny Cater should have been at third; he was at short. Jim Ray Hart should have been at second; he was at third. Same thing in the outfield: Richie Ashburn LF (no rating) instead of CF; Dale Bennetch CF instead of RF; Johnny Callison RF instead of LF. I switched to Sabermetric lineups for the first game but switched back to Traditional for the second, and the AI did the same thing. |

There are cases where the AI can do this, as sometimes it likes to train players at a new position for instance. There's no way for us to set things up so the AI always uses the same fielding lineups the real life teams did, since once the players are imported, then it's up to the AI what to do with them, and it has a 'mind' of its own.
If you want that to happen, you have an option to play in historical with real-life lineups and transactions, so if you select that, you'll see teams using the actual lineups they did in real life on a given day.
