Nutt's Suggestions for future versions

Ok, so I know some of these features cannot be added in a patch but may have to wait for next year or two, but let me recap suggestions I've made over the years that were added:

I first mentioned this features as a request for OOTP15:
  • Reliever of the Year and Silver Slugger awards
  • Non-Roster Invitees to Spring Training
  • Opt-out clauses in contracts: Players can opt out after Year X if he chooses.
  • Posting system to transfer within Major Leagues, similar to *** and KBO with MLB.
  • INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION!!!! When I say this, I refer to simply the WBC, Olympics, etc.

I made this request for OOTP17, and it came a year or so later: round-robin playoff.

This request I made for OOTP19 was granted last year: Additional Coaches (First and Third Base coach)

Now, onto the list!

These will be ranked in order that I prefer priority and non-priority. Below the list will be a breakdown:
  1. The Ability to see a school's alumni that is in the database
  2. Coaching History
  3. Bullpen Coach
  4. Tournaments having the option much like Association playoffs
  5. Listing each country/team's record in Team listings for Tournament history should count playoff games
  6. Third-place game for Olympic/Tournament style semifinal losers
  7. Fixing Association Playoff stats
  8. Additional Front Office members
  9. Manager of the Year Award history
  10. Award voting history
  11. Winning An Association or International (WBC, OLY) Championship should be given a gold star/notice in the awards section
  12. More All-Star Game options
  13. Standings for both 1st and 2nd Half of seasons for split-season leagues. We still get the full season standings with the first-half and second-half champion/leader.

School Alumni: Currently you can see the list of schools. I feel an easy addition would be the ability to click on a school in the schools page, and you can see the alumni in the database. An example would be Tennessee. It would show you alumni of Nick Senzel, R.A. Dickey, Chase Headley, Todd Helton, etc. Maybe as a bonus, you can also see players attending the school that are in draft classes like a Ben Joyce or Trey Lipscomb.

Coaching History: Right now, only managers have a full distinct list of coaching history. Would be great to see GMs and coaches have a history log at the ML level.

Bullpen Coach: it's currently the only main coach missing from the coaching staff!

Tournaments: This will factor both history and selection. As for selection, you should have the ability to select the associated league's champion, or top X if possible to code. As for history, I see Cuba going 3-0 in pool play for the WBC but not them going 0-3 when they lose every round robin playoff game. It would be nice for tournaments to have their overall W-L and just not the preliminary phase.

Third-place game for tournaments: This gives us the ability to properly simulate a Bronze-Medal and/or 3rd place game in tournaments. An example would be a bronze medal game for the Olympiad.

Fixing association playoff stats I've mentioned this in the past but here's an in-depth example: I was playing around and did an association where the MLB, ***, KBO, and LMB champions played a double round-robin with the top two playing a best-of-three championship series. Trea Turner has playoff stats for all four leagues but for the Dodgers, who play in MLB. We get association abbreviations, but they never get used except for "Won the NCAA College World Series" if you were using the NCAA. Trea Turner could easily have LAD-MLB and LAD-XXXX for whatever you call your association with it's abbreviation. His association playoff stats for Dodger home games count towards MLB records, when they should count towards the association.

Additional Front office personnel: Director of Player Personnel, Team President, and my favorite: an Assistant GM for all teams! I like the feature for user-controlled teams, but an AGM for all would be a great feature to have. Maybe two, as you can have them do other things within the organization.

Manager of the Year Award History: You can only see this if you view the manager's profile.

Award Voting history: Although you get the messages sent to you, would be nice to see the ability in-game to see the voting results annually. Doesn't have to be applied for historical context but for in-game if I start in 2022, I'd like to easily see who finished 4th in the NL MVP race.

Icons for Association/Tournament champions: When opening a player profile, you see is AS selections, championships, awards won, This should also show for an Association Championship. Currently, being a member of the winning WBC and/or Olympic team that wins the championship, it is listed in Minor Awards. A feature could be added to make it a major championship, wherein the non-Olympic team could have a WBC-style trophy icon, and Olympic teams could have a Gold Medal icon (silver and bronze if applicable, too).

All-Star Games: We're getting close! We can have prospects (Futures) game and it's Sub-League vs. Sub-League (or Division vs. Division) or League Nationality vs. The World. I'd like to see this option available for All-Star Games. Other option could be League Champion vs. All-Stars (NHL did that for awhile). It would be great for League with only one sub-league and no divisions to have an option of League Nationality vs. The World, if applicable.

Half-Season Standings: LGO mentioned years ago to me that in 2006, split-season was introduced as an option. The only unfortunate thing here is you don't have the ability to see the full first or second half history during the season, only the full standings and who the current half leader is.

I swear it feels like you've read right off my list lol.
Good job man..

Here's a couple of mine you don't have... what you think?
Assistant hitting coach: I feel like this would be beneficial with the relationships now between coaches and players. That way some batters would better with one hitting coach versus the other.

Spring training: it's time to finally have the Cactus and Grapefruit leagues

Draft budgets: realistic and based off slot for picks rstget than just team assigned

IAFA: needs to be remodeled to be more the MLB Draft. IRL these kids are scouted for years before signing

Extended Spring training: allow players to work with coaches and get development even without games. Under the same umbrella, Fall instructionals. Another piece of the puzzle... instructors/coaches for EXST, Fall instructs and international camps to have more control over developemt.

Scouting: I'd love to see Scouting broken out to pro, foreign and amateur instead of just one person

Suspended list: needs fixing where it doesn't count against 40man roster like it currently and inaccurately does now. Wouldn't hurt to also have a restricted list to mirror a covid IL.

Rule 5 rules: not real world based but I'd love to see the eligibility rules be made editable to have the ability to try new stuff.

Lastly, I would love an in game schedule maker where th3 user could input certain days to only have games... it'd be easier to make semi real ncaa and international schedules
