MLB stadiums in fictional leagues

I've been playing the series forever, but I've never used MLB stadiums in my fictional league/world. I tried a couple different searches on here but didn't see any previous questions like this. Is there a way to use MLB stadiums for my fictional teams/world? A way other than starting a new historical league and editing the teams?

Yes, you can do this! (This is how to do it in OOTP22, I'm sure the process will be extremely similar in OOTP23, but the names may be slightly different ).

You will need to go in-game to the ballpark editor screen by going to the team you want to change the ballpark of, hitting the "Info" tab, and hitting the "Ballpark" sub-tab. In top right, there will be a "Edit Ballpark" button. Click that and change the stadium name to the MLB stadium you wish to use. (i.e. "PNC Park" if I want to use PNC Park for this fictional team). Now, you should see "Actions..." in the top right corner. Click that and select "Auto-import data from file into the park". That's it! Now you will be using a real MLB stadium for this team.

One last note: you can also mass import several MLB stadiums at once, but first, you will need to go through all the fictional teams whose park you wish to change and change the stadium name. Then, on the "Actions..." step, you can select "Auto-import all ballparks". A file selector will pop-up and you will need to navigate the OOTP ballpark files, which if you are using Steam like me, probably has a path similar to this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 22\data\ballparks

Awesome, thanks! I'll get on that tomorrow!

Instructions were excellent.

Wow, It works. Thank You.
For years I have been doing this in a long about way that takes me over an hour to do for every new league I create. Now I can do it in a few minutes.

That's what was wrong. The error I got was like a Marine Lieutenant: Absolutely correct, but the information given was utterly useless. "0 of 5 parks failed to import."

Thanks game, but WHY did they fail to import? I can't fix you if you don't tell me WHY. LOL
