If someone has made a Quick Start of their league, they might well be willing to share that. Try looking in the Fictional Simulations part of the OOTP22 section, check out some of the leagues there, see if there's one you like the look of, then ask if they might share. Good luck and enjoy the game.

Yes. There are many fictional league downloads out there. But as the new game just came out and much was changed behind the game engine... you might want to wait a little bit longer for people to update their files if you want the best content from independent modders.

I love your interest in fictional leagues though.

Just posted my question in another part of the forum, but if I create a league for my friend, how can I send them a Quickstart so they can play it without having to work through custom league creation?

find the quickstart folder you want (it'll be in the /data/quickstarts folder), zip it up and send it to them however you normally send files.

This league has fictional teams with real players, no minor leagues. The trick is only having NL players and no AL players. One real life Year corresponds to one season in game, and rosters carry over from the previous year. This of course needs to be redone continuously to use current ratings. Players that enter the NL either from the minors or the AL are available in a free agent draft.

This isn’t how I play, but I have more experience setting it up for my friend. My main league right now is a 16 team league with teams’ “locations” being the streets in the neighborhood I grew up in. In this world, market size is determined on how used or large the street is. I want to do a right up of it in another post when I have time. It solves many of the problems I think people run into with immersion breaking fictional leagues.

Well that sounds cool and imaginative.
