Where do defensive ratings come from?

For the life of me, I can't figure out how OOTP comes up with their position defensive ratings.

A quick example where RL analytics in no way match OOTP

Dansby Swanson vs Tim Anderson
OOTP 23
Overall SS, 50 v 60
Range, 60 v 65
Error, 60 v 55
Arm, 65 v 60
DP, 60 v 65

2021 Ratings
OAA, 3 v 3
UZR/150, 1.5 v -0.6

2020 Ratings
OAA, 7 v 2
UZR/150, 0.5 v -7.9

Yea they did Paul Goldschmidt of the Cardinals dirty as hell. Won a GG this most recent IRL season an yet his defensive ratings look like some Low A Scrub. Ill just end up changing it myself most likely.

He's a 65/80 rated 1B. There's only a handful higher than that in the MLB.
