All players automatically moves to reserve roster

I have a high school feeder league in one of my games and I filled all teams in the league with fictional players, but it puts them all onto reserve rosters. I went through and manually moved them all to active rosters but every time I try to simulate a day or game it puts them all back on reserves and says it can't advance and gives me a "ghost player" message, even though I see no option for that in my settings. I also tried setting computer control over all teams to hope it would help and nothing changes. I set up a college feeder league in the exact same way and this was not an issue, can anyone help?

You most likely have some sort of roster limit set on that team/league that makes most of these players ineligible. It could be an age limit, a nationality limit or something else like that.
