Transfer game to new PC?

So I have FHM 8 installed an running fine on a PC, but I just got a new laptop and I think I would rather have FHM 8 running on the laptop. I would also like to continue my existing dynasty that I have been playing rather than starting over.

What is the best way to do this? Do I just install a fresh copy of the FHM 8 on the laptop, but then copy all the files from the old PC to the laptop and overwrite what is there?

Just copy all the subfolders (the ones that end in .lg) for the saves in your old PC's \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 8\saved_games folder into the same folder on the laptop.
