Schedule name with "ap" without "ap" difference?
What is the difference in, real MLB schedules, that have or don't have the "ap" in the name?
IE major_league_ml_c_2016.isdl or major_league_ml_c_2016.ap.isdl Normally I play my game with the default schedule but this time I decided to import so I could get the correct rotating interleague match ups. For me this meant going back to the 2016 schedule. Start times seem to be off with west coast games being played too early. IE west coast night games are done at 6 or 7pm CT making it 4-5 pm PT instead of 9pm CT and 7pm PT as they should. day games are like this too so some west coast games are being played around 10:30 am. etc. FWIW the schedule I imported does not have the "ap" designation. I guess I didn't notice while importing that there were two 2016 schedules. I simply imported, checked I was playing against the correct AL division, looked at the schedule report to make sure total matchups looked right, All-Star game in proper spot, and moved on. So I'm wondering if the schedule I imported is a "day game schedule" or something like that? If that's the case I'll finish out the season "as is", not going to start over but... It would be nice to know for my next season. If that's not the reason for the time being off, well, then I'm really confused ![]() Any thoughts or help would be appreciated ![]() |

I believe the first one is the original schedule and the second one is "as played", which means some late season double headers to make up games rained out earlier in the year and perhaps some games missed entirely.

Brad K is correct. Add'l explanation...
- the one without "ap" would be considered the "as originally schedule/intended" schedules. So the intended 1981 and 1994 schedules would be the one that would've happened if there was no strike and no rainouts. - the one with "ap" is the schedule that was actually played, with the only difference being that tiebreaker playoff games, while considered part of the regular season, are not included in the "ap" schedule (since the need for such tiebreakers, obviously, wouldn't be assumed). |

Thanks hef.
This is a strange one as the start times changed during my on going season? I'll post an update with a quote from my bugs forum post. Screen shots won't come along with the quote but they can be seen here.. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=334317 Quote:

The start times listed on your team's schedule are set to your city's time zone. So if your team is located in the Eastern Time Zone, then all the game times are shown as ET. I don't think there's any way you can change that. As you note, however, the games start at the correct local times.

On the "score" screen the games have always listed properly for me until this came up. West coast night games should show on the score screen as 9pm CT if played at 7pm PT. But in my game those games are shown as 6pm start time, that 6pm is ET. All team start times, no matter where they play, are shown on their calendar at CT start. Oakland calendar shows all games at CT starts same as the Yankees, while I play in the CT zone which is the setting on my manager. And my Cubs in that CT zone? Yes, game time starts are listed at 6pm CT instead of 7pm CT they are actually played at. IE they now want to start at 7pm ET so show up, and are played at, 6pm CT. The latest a west coast game now starts in my league is around 4pm with the early games being around 10 am. Not sure if you looked at the screens but I'll put them here. Note the day before the issue came up the west coast game shows at the bottom as starting in PT. Next nights game, same match up, same start time now shows as ET. This is not a "manager screen time zone setting" issue. This is something that wasn't there one day but was the next. So what if I change my time zone setting on my manager's page? All times on the team schedules change to whatever time zone I select but... all of the games still play on ET. IOW it changes what I see on the display but not the time the games start. Note the A's schedule and take May 3 and 4 as an example. On the third they play Seattle in a night game that is played at 6:05 pm CT, that's 4:05 PT in Seattle. Better yet on the fourth they play an afternoon game in Seattle at 11:35am CT, that's 9:35 am PT Seattle time. Also note in the screens on the day before the issue came up the boxscore notes the correct PT start time. The day after the issue the boxscore notes the games are now being started at the proper 7pm but... that's 7pm ET which is 4pm PT. It's totally borked and it became that way, for whatever reason, between May 2 and May 3, 2039 in my game. I did try to include 5 screens but it's only displaying 4 so one of the box score tops (May 2) is missing showing the game date. All 5 shots are in the bug forum thread. |
