Best way to Import a Fictional Team into a new league
I created my own fictional team and replaced them with the 1980 SF Giants. Im currently using the 1980 season but want to just add my fictional team into a new league (For example and 1975 season) I created all the players from scratch (ratings, names, stats, fielding, etc) so I want all the edits I made to stay when I import the team or players.
So the 1975 season will have all the actual teams from 1975 plus my Fictional team. I cant seem to find a way to do this without having to re-edit the players when I set up my new league. I know how to do this when importing historical players but not fictional. Thank you. |

Yeah, as far as I'm aware players are not transferable between saves...

One way to accomplish this would be to use the import/export roster functionality from the league setting menu.
In your case, if you wanted to keep all the historical teams and only add in one new club for your fictional team you could start by editing the league structure from the settings menu > select add new team in the division of your choice > edit the team details in team settings. Once your team is created go to players from the team menu, choose 'actions' dropdown > fill team with fictional players. Then go to league settings and choose 'export MLB rosters', update the file name if you so choose, and hit okay. Note: for the club you've already created in the existing save, you'll need to export the MLB rosters from that league as well so you can copy your players over. Next, go to excel and open the text file from the import/export folder within your lg folder, and choose delimited on step 1 of the text importer, followed by tab & comma on step 2, then select finish... Now, paste your fictional team over the team you created in that file from column E all the way to EW. Then save as a CSV and use the 'import MLB rosters' from the settings to import that newly created CSV file into your game. I do this all the time to bring teams from my fictional saves into historical environments to put them against real world clubs... here's where I brought clubs, players and all, into an MLB 2021 environment to play out a season... the one thing I do notice is sometimes players' injury proneness gets wonky when you re-import them. Hopefully this all makes sense... if not let me know. There is a post on the boards detailing the roster export/import functionality more eloquently than I was able to do here, so I'll try to track that down and link it time permitting.
