...is threatening to not only break Pete Rose's record of 4256 hits but Barry Bonds' record of 762 homers:

This is from my long-time Rays save, chronicled over at the Dynasty Forums. We are two months into the 2040 season, so those current-season numbers are highly impressive for a 41-year-old. As you can see below, he's under contract to the Cubs for another year, so barring injury he's a decent bet to break them in 2041. I will keep you all updated.

Heh, yes, the Yankees were in a rebuild and dumped his contract on Atlanta and then they put him on the block and were willing to eat most of his salary for the last year and a half on the contract.

A crimp has been put into Vlad Jr's milestone runs as he's now going to miss the second half of the 2040 season:

He's still under contract for 2041 so the chase will be on, but delayed.

Ouch. Another amazing thing about his career has been he's been pretty much injury free throughout. Until now of course.

Well things definitely took a dark turn:

He ends his career with 735 HR and 4,091 hits as Barry Bonds and Pete Rose (probably dead by now) breathe sighs of relief. It's almost as if OOTP itself didn't want him to break the records.
