New OOTP 22 public beta patch (version 22.11.82) available!

Important: This patch is only for OOTP 22 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version. It is also available via the Steam client with the public password below.
It is NOT compatible with the Mac OSX AppStore or Epic version!

Hi everybody!

We are close to launching the next official maintenance update early next week, so here is a new public beta, version 22.10.78.

Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta. This patch is compatible with the previous patch for online leagues - exports will work between versions, however both clients and the commish need to update to benefit from the online league fixes.

Changelist (22.11.82):
- Added various fields to sql data dumps
- Tired players in lists will show the red battery icon
- Fixed some cases of teams adding player on 60-day IL to 40-man roster
- Added saving custom lineups from 7-day/opener page
- Adjusted opt-out logic for injured/recently injured players
- Fixed days needed for service year in ABL in quickstart
- Live Start: Fixed some issues with MLB not moving to off-season
- Online Leagues: Fixed “Meet Demand” now always being considered as a submitted offer
- PT: added new column to player lists “active missions” (ie. the number of missions a player is in that you have not completed)
- Several other bug fixes and tweaks

How to access the beta on Steam:

Quit OOTP 22 if it's running.
Open Steam client -> Library
Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 22
Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: publicbeta22
Click on "Check code"
Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

Not sure the lineup/depth chart logic is operating properly in this latest version. In this case Hoskins is on the bench...Bohm is starting at first instead and Didi is at third, but is only rated at SS. Not sure if this is an anomaly or signs of a larger AI issue. Just thought I would bring it to attention. Just doesn't seem right to me compared to other versions.
At the very least here, Segura and Didi should be flipped. Didi has no rating at 3B and is a 50 at ss, while Segura is a 40 at ss and a 60 at 3B.

Not sure if the AI was adjusted here or not...but the way it is set up doesn't seem right.

I've been using it for awhile and haven't noticed any issues. Far from an exhaustive test pass, but its been fine for my play style.

Seems to be good from the (little) feedback we've gotten, but since the plan is for this to be the last patch of the cycle, we wanted to give it plenty of time to catch any issues. If anyone has noticed anything off, please do let us know.

One odd thing I noticed. After simulating a game, the box score says my starting pitcher gave up 4 runs, but only one was earned. My team didn't commit a single error. I don't think there is ever a situation where runs are scored as unearned when the defense is error free.

A passed ball is not recorded as an error, but when a run scores as the result of a passed ball, it does not count as an earned run against a pitcher.
