Lost Data No Save

Today I was interrupted playing a game in my 1966 Season sim. I had to open another application on my Ipad running IOS 15. I left OOTP GO open. When I tried to return to my game, it was gone. Vanished. No longer open. When I clicked on the OOTP icon, it opened as if the game had never been started, that game not played. I have lost the data, and, what’s worse, my Phils were leading the Cubs 1-0 in the eighth inning at Wrigley Field. No trace of the game I was playing.

Should I have saved my game before turning to another matter?

Is there any way to have OOTP GO auto-save during the game?

Why is there no exit option from OOTP GO?

What would cause the app to simply close of its own accord, with no warning?

It bothers me that I got no warning about this, no chance to save. Could it be that the app timed out? I was only away from the game in progress for less than half an hour.

In OOTP, I have been away from games in progress due to interruptions, and never had a problem resuming the games.

This does not appear to be a lack of RAM issue or a storage problem. Maybe an IOS 15 issue?

If there is any way to recover that lost game and complete it, that would be optimal. I understand that data like this is rarely if ever “lost”, and probably resides somewhere on my hard drive, just waiting to be recovered.

Still no help on this issue (above). I’m back to playing OOTP22 instead of the GO version. More complete, much easier to navigate, and fewer bugs! Hard to complain about software that was/is free; although I did buy some additional seasons; now a sunk cost. I’m curious if others have experienced the lost data issue. Maybe not. No other posts claiming that.

Hi very sorry I must have missed this post back when you originally posted. I believe this issue should be fixed since your first post. When it closes in the background, you should be able to re-enter the game that you were in previously.

So far so good. I was able to play a full game (a win, no less!) without any freeze or interruption or loss of data. All saved, and the season is intact.
