Hiring Coaches - not Manager related control issues
I've had issues trying to hire coaches. I get that some guys just don't want to play for a certain team.
I tried: hiring guys to replace MLB level coaches firing the head coach and tried to replace him firing the HC and pitching coach trying to hire new hires promoting from within....even went as far as trying to promote my SA coach, who doesn't belong coaching at the MLB level, and he refused the promotion offering $10M to a pitching coach and he still wouldn't sign, saying he has no interest. Anyone else having this issue and what are some workarounds to get the right staff in place? Last edited by gwnicho; 10-12-2021 at 02:18 PM. |

This is probably most likely to happen if you have a lot of coaches from a different region than your main league. If that's the case, try targeting coaches from the league's region and they should be (much) more likely to want to sign with you.

Region shouldn't matter if you are trying to hire from within the organization. I've gone as low as SA to see if a guy would take a promotion and he had no interest for coaching for his own MLB team. Obviously this is a flaw in the game. |
