AI Tries Straight Steal of Home?

I'm in game five of a five game playoff series. AI is batting in the top of the 6th inning. I am leading 5 to 1. AI has a runner on third base with 1 out. 2-0 count on the batter. Baserunner is very fast, has a high steal rating, and has just stole third.

The AI tried what appears to be a straight steal of home plate. He was out. There was no indication that the ball got away from the catcher or anything like that. The batter took the pitch, so it wasn't a suicide squeeze. In real life I would assume there was a missed sign somewhere, but I don't think that's part of the game.

Can anyone make any sense of this? I wasn't holding the runner. Maybe the "thinking" was that the runner could get a big enough lead to pull off the steal?

And no, the runner on third was not Javy Baez.
