RE: No Draft Class in Historical League

I just downloaded a few days ago and loaded the free 1977 league start. I kept mostly default settings -- changed the playoff structure, some financials, and some other small things. I have the amateur draft enabled with the default draft date (in December 1977), number of rounds, and reveal date. I have "...automatic creation of free agents and fictional draft class" disabled, and "Automatically Import Historical Rookies" enabled. I figured I'd get a draft pool consisting of real 1978 rookies. Instead, I get an empty draft class. Have I don't something wrong? Do I need to purchase the 1978 season in order to get 1978 rookies?

Yes, you need to have had purchased the following season to get historical rookies
