An update to the helmet situation

I don't use a custom data path. The helmets are still offset after the patch.

I would recommend updating your OS in case it's a driver issue and if that doesn't work, then next step would be a full uninstall and reinstall.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to report that after I also started having issues with helmets / caps that randomly started after the patch update.

I'm running the Steam version of the game, so unfortunately, the patch updates automatically, and I can't revert to an old version.

The best way I can describe it is that the players helmets or caps are translucent / flickering -- they appear on the player's head for a second, then partially or fully disappear, making the player appear bald.

There were no issues with this prior to the patch update which arrived to my machine today.

I've updated all drivers, did a full uninstall / re-install, and the problem persists.

I updated everything to no avail. If I uninstall and reinstall, will my saved games and custom files from before still be there?

I would definitely recommend backing them up and copying them to a separate place. It's unlikely that they would reappear automatically after a reinstall.

If you uninstall but have the installer leave your custom files, then reinstall to the same place they should automatically show up again.

But, as mentioned really backing them up is the best option, just in case something goes wrong.

One other question as well. The screenshot Baconi posted looks like this is in a modded ballpark. Does the same thing happen with the default parks (and/or default unis) or is it just happening with modded parks or unis?

We're looking into this but it's quite odd because the issue seems to be Mac specific but not happening to all Mac users either, just a very few

So we're having a bit of trouble to be able to recreate things and see exactly what might be causing this but we'll keep looking into it and get it sorted out asap.

Can one of you folks having this issue be so kind as to get us a copy of the trace file from in-game when this is happening.

Instructions on generating a trace file are here.

Please don't restart the game before you send us the file though. Just retrieve the file while the game is still running in 3d, or once you've shut the game down but before you restart.

UPDATE: No need for the trace file. We've managed to recreate this and are working on fixing it up.

I'm running the Steam version of the game on Linux Mint (which is a Debian-based distribution) -- game is Version 22.8.69.

Unis haven't been modified at all, and I'm using Silvam14's historical parks found on the Steam workshop.

We've also released the same fix on Steam as a new version of the public beta. So if you're using Steam and you sign up for that, you'll get the fixed version.
