Current MLB expansion, 32 teams, 150 game schedule
150 Games
32 Teams 2 Sub-leagues 8 Divisions Inter-league play Teams play divisional opponents 18 times each, plus 6 games against each team in the three other intra-league divisions, and 6 games against each team in one inter-league division. The four files rotate the inter-league matchups, and also vary the timing of the intra-league matchups. Files were tailored for my league, starting with current (2020) MLB teams, expansion teams in Portland and Montreal, and a geographic realignment with a couple of teams switching leagues. I tried to replicate each current team's start times and national broadcast times like Fox Saturday afternoon and ESPN Sunday night games. I'm not sure how universally this translates, but in my league I have a realistic Cubs schedule with their day/night restrictions. North and Central division teams will always open on the road versus South/West division teams, because this is what a sensible league would do to limit early-season weather postponements. With a season start date of March 30 and a Force Start on Thursdays, most years should line up with day games on Memorial Day and Labor Day Mondays. All-Star break will still be the week after July 4th. |

What are your division realignments to make the teams times line up?

My initial realignment was this:
NL East Montreal Expos NY Mets Philadelphia Phillies Pittsburgh Pirates NL Central Chicago Cubs Cincinnati Reds Milwaukee Brewers St. Louis Cardinals NL South Washington Nationals Atlanta Braves Tampa Bay Rays Miami Marlins NL West San Francisco Giants San Diego Padres Los Angeles Dodgers Arizona Diamondbacks AL East New York Yankees Boston Red Sox Toronto Blue Jays Baltimore Orioles AL Central Cleveland Guardians Chicago White Sox Detroit Tigers Minnesota Twins AL South Kansas City Royals Texas Rangers Houston Astros Colorado Rockies AL West Los Angeles Angels Seattle Mariners Portland Beavers Oakland A's After a few seasons, I moved Tampa Bay to the Las Vegas Lightning because I liked TxRanger's logo set for them. Here's my current alignment: NL East Montreal Expos New York Mets Philadelphia Phillies Washington Nationals NL Central Chicago Cubs Cincinnati Reds Milwaukee Brewers Pittsburgh Pirates NL South Houston Astros St. Louis Cardinals Atlanta Braves Miami Marlins NL West San Francisco Giants San Diego Padres Los Angeles Dodgers Las Vegas Lightning AL East New York Yankees Boston Red Sox Toronto Blue Jays Baltimore Orioles AL Central Cleveland Guardians Chicago White Sox Detroit Tigers Minnesota Twins AL South Kansas City Royals Texas Rangers Arizona Diamondbacks Colorado Rockies AL West Los Angeles Angels Seattle Mariners Portland Beavers San Jose A's |

You CANNOT move the Cardinals from the NL Central. This is essentially the same as moving the Yankees or Red Sox from the AL East

You're 100% right, but it works for me because it makes geographical sense, and because the LaRussa era made me despise the Cardinals. I know he's long gone, but his stink will be on that team forever in my mind. I suppose a more reasonable mind would shuffle the Nats to the South and the Bucs to the East, but a more vengeful mind will have fun imagining the sweet, sweet tears and fury pouring forth from the "Best Fans in Baseball" under this scenario.
