I am really interested in coming back to TBCB after a decade or more away. How do I find 2.5, an updated "roster", etc? Thanks!

Make sure you get the 2.5.27 patch... it is critical.

Thank you all. I bought this in 2012 but the download option doesn't seem to be working.

EDIT: For some reason I had to right click and select "open in a new window" instead of just clicking on it. Weird.

Reinstalling on new laptop. When I try to install the .27 patch, I get an error that elicen40.dll not found. yet that file is in my game folder.

Any ideas?

Did you move the elicen40.dll from its original location?

Make sure the path in the config file matches where the license is actually located.

Thanks, that solved it. I didn't have the patch in he correct directory.

Next question, my new laptop wants to save my files to Onedrive instead of the usual my documents on the hard drive. How do I fix that?

As mentioned all my computer problems the past months in another thread finally worked through and back on here. Saw this thread! Great to see others still out still churning away with TB2.5.

So this .27 patch, I'm running my TB2.5.25 on Win7 Pro. Any issues any would imagine .27 on that? See pilight mentioned worked on Win10.

Pilight, I'm not the brightest computer guy here. So where would this elicen40.dll reside with my installed 2.5.25 and then where does it need to be in relation to loading the .27 patch?

OK figured it out. Tested on my copy on the Mac/Parallels. Running 2.5.27 now.

So what did .27 add to the .25 version? Just some bug fixing?

It's been so long since I initially installed the patch that I can't remember exactly what it fixed. But I do remember that the fixes were very important and that it was crucial to install that patch.

Where does the elicen40.dll need to reside? It's currently located in the Title Bout Championship Boxing 2.5 folder. Don't see any config file.

The config file should be at

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Out of the Park Developments\Title Bout Championship Boxing 2.5

Note that you may not have a roaming folder, the OOTP folder may be directly under AppData

If you open the config file there should be an entry towards the top that says ProgPath= followed by a file location. That location is where the elicen40.dll needs to be.

Did you get what you needed? Happened to get on to the forum today and saw your message. Not sure what gelicen40 is?

I just by the way loaded TB2.5.27 onto my new PC running Windows 11. Installed it and changed it to Administrator run. I also set compatibility in Properties for the exe file to WindowsXP Service Pack 3. Had it running that way on my Windows 10 but that was getting to be a real clunker just trying to run Windows 10 and the TB was getting slower and slower to run. On this new PC so far today it loads up real nice and quick. Going to spend some time in TB to mess with it and see out it spins. Been away some working on my other hobby, baseball gaming. Just bought and loaded OOTP23. Was intrigued by the advertisement you can run historicals back to the 1871 season.
