Historical Replays

I want to do a 2007 season replay as you might with SOM, DMB etc.
I was hoping that the option to turn on line ups and transactions would maintain 25-man rosters for all teams and update them as real life transactions occurred.

But it seems to make every player available from the start of the season.

For example, Ryan Braun was called up in late May, but he's on the roster on opening day and, of course, the CM uses him to pinch hit at every opportunity.

Am I missing a way to do this, or is this something OOTP can't yet do.

(Not a criticism - just a question )

No you aren't missing anything. OOTP provides the correct starting lineups and starting pitchers, but it does not provide the actual rosters. So your bench and your bullpen will be OOTP AI controlled.

If you use correct lineups and transactions, all starting pitchers and lineups will be exactly the same.
All players on the ROSTER are players that played at some point for the team in the season.
AI does control all the changes and usage.
When i did 1975 i saw unfamiliar red sox names getting lots of playing time. Looked them up...they played like an inning. The AI played them 30 games. PH, PR, def replacement.
Not sure if there is tuning to 'people with less than x at bats/IP' that would temper that.

(so i disagree) they do supply the exact roster.....your reserve roster should contain everyone that was on the team unless a transaction removes them later in the season.
essentially you have no MINORs just a reserver roster.

the other thing i found is the team YOU control won't suffer any fatigue.
which is why i was winning with some lower teams like the tigers....trotting out FREEHAN to play every game not understanding i was kinda cheating
