Top Draft Picks Released without playing

Anyone else see this at all? The White Sox and another team just released each of their first 2 picks of the 2021 draft without them ever getting a plate appearance.

Players are Wes Kath and Glenn Albanese. I’ll just add them back to the teams in commissioner mode but thought that was strange. Not sure if releasing prospects is a known issue.

There tend be a few settings combinations that can make the ai go a bit haywire with releasing prospects at times, so you especially want to avoid doing anything like adding limits to the lowest levels of the minors, as that can trigger this sort of behavior.

If this is with default settings though, please feel free to upload the save (preferably from before the players get released) and we can try to take a look and see if we can figure out why it might be happening and maybe fix up some instances for the future.

Lukas, I used to have the same problem going back to OOTP18. Once I removed the roster limits for the rookie leagues the problem disappeared. I do use service time limits, but no roster size limits and it seems to work fine.

Yeah, makes complete sense. That's why I specifically mentioned limits (I should've specified roster size limits though) in the lowest level leagues in my post, since that's a known (and unfortunately probably unsolvable atm) problem.

Will this also affect reserve rosters?

Another question(s)if you don’t mind: what if your complex rookie league has no limit to the number of players you can have, but your Dominican (International rookie league) is still set to 35?

Also, will minor league teams with no limit stockpile players without doing any “house keeping” the way reserve rosters seem to be handled?

I haven't noticed that, unlike reserve rosters which can get insanely long.
