Selecting leadership roles

Ok, playing the 1996 season and my team is playing well but leadership is an issue, perhaps in a small way but still. How do you choose a team captain? I cannot seem to figure it out. It was actually hard to find the morale page but I saw it and some players are unhappy because there is no team leadership.

You can't appoint a captain for your team, but if there's a player on the roster with that trait then they'll assume the role automatically.

I always check the morale page for free agents and trade targets. You should see something to give a hint if they have high leadership.

Thank you for your reply. On my “manager’s Home Screen it says one of my goals is to “acquire a team leader” with a 3-year deadline. It also says that one of my rookies is a possibility. Team morale is not easily found. I did, after just clicking on everything possible, find it. It shows some disgruntled players due to a lack of leadership. In OOTP go I do not see how to view leadership skills of players on other teams so not sure how to find someone if my rookie doesn’t pan out.

*I was able to find “status and moral” for individual players. Now if I could figure out how to create minor leagues rather than just “reserve” team.

Go to league rules and settings, then tap on view and enable view advanced mode. After that, under player personality setting, there's a checkbox to show player personality ratings on profile page. Enable that box and then you can view those settings for each player.
