Congratulations!
I think THAT contract is the worst in ootp22, given the size of Detroit's overall budget.
It must feel like a huge lottery win for you.

That contract made zero sense when it was signed. Just mindboggling, completely unnecessary, and straight up detrimental to their success from day one.

David Dombrowski School of Baseball Management:

First, remember....you're not here for a long time so make sure you have a good time.
Spend all of the owners money like a drunken sailor.
Trade every decent prospect in your system for whatever need you have at the moment or itch you need to scratch.
Do not be afraid to inherit large contracts when you deal prospects - it's only money and, most importantly, its not yours.
Destroy the foundation if it serves your immediate desires because you won't be entrusted to be in the building when it falls anyway.
Now get out there and GO FOR BROKE.
If you repeat this method often enough for owners willing to continue to give you opportunties, something will stick to a wall somewhere along the way.
