2021 Draft List File For Live Start

Hi all!

Attached here is a file that will put the players from the draft that just happened on their new teams when you use the Live start function in-game.

To install it, put it into your Out of the Park Baseball 22\data\stats folder (it should overwrite a blank file with the same name already there).

Then if you start a new 'Live Start' game, the players will be automatically loaded to the correct teams. (They're all set as having already been signed, otherwise it wouldn't work).

Just be aware, some players are not in the game yet, so obviously those guys won't be on their teams until we release a patch.

Got one question, quoting this one sentence "Then if you start a new 'Live Start' game, the players will be automatically loaded to the correct teams."

I tried doing this and I am confused what you meant, would this mean the draft picks are assigned to team at the moment you create the game? Or does this mean the draft pool is populated?
If they are assigned "right away" what process do I follow?

If you download the file to the correct spot, and then run a new live start, the players will be drafted to their teams (and should appear in the low minors for whoever picked them). There's no other action needed.

It worked when i created a Standard game then selected live start. The game starts on July 16th.
What I tried doing was creating a custom game using a live start so I could change the live start advanced settings. Mainly what I wanted to do was start not in mid-season but in the pre-season with the draft picks added in. I guess that we can't do that.
No big deal. Just wanted to see if it could be done.

Thanks, Lukas. When I add the CSV file to the proper folder, the game crashes when I try to initiate a new Live Start — I'm certain the CSV is the issue, because when I remove it from /stats, I can begin a new Live Start without issue (I've tried it a few times with and without the CSV in the folder, just to be sure). Any idea why this might be occurring? Not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm a Mac user. Appreciate any insight!

You can run a regular game, and when you get to the draft, there should be a button to import the actual draft results if you want.

Hmm, no ideas. It works fine for me and obviously for most other folks as well, so I can't imagine why it would be an issue in your installation.

Maybe try opening the file in a spreadsheet and copying a few lines (or even the whole of the file) into the blank file already in the Live Start manually and see if that changes anything?

Thank you so much for releasing this! Do I need to start a new game for it to work though? Tried loading it in my current save and the player IDs don't seem to match up. Then, tried it again with a new league and same issue. Perhaps I am doing something wrong?!?!

How are you creating the league?

With a Live Start or a new Quickstart, this should work and the ids should line up.

With a new 'Standard Game' or new 'Custom Game' (non-Live Start), they might not, unless you load all the leagues available (and even then it's not 100% the ids will match)

Either way, we'd heavily recommend that you create a new league to use this, not to load it in a saved league.

Yes, the file is made to work with the Live Start, so that's really what you mostly want to use it with, as that's the only mode that's updated when you start it and that should have the correct id's as well.

The Majors quickstart (the one with all the leagues included) also doesn't change any player ids, so it should work there as well, though only if you manually load it on the draft screen on the day of the draft, but before the draft actually starts.

Any other game mode, it may or may not work with, but I really would not recommend using it in them, as it most likely will not work since most of them change the player ids to some extent.

If you open the game and on the start screen go to 'troubleshooting', then click the tab to 'open data folder', that will automatically open it.
