Historical expansion teams obliterated

Created the 1976 MLB season. Simmed through the 1976 season and the 1977 season. The Blue Jays and Mariners came into the league, as expected, in 1977. However, they were short of players and no free agents existed to sign. The result was ugly for the expansion teams. (Per Markus, the expansion teams cannot fill out their rosters until free agents become available. Also, this problem occurs in the latest build. The next build will hopefully resolve an issue where no rookies get added to their teams when a season rolls over. Not sure how much that will help, but maybe.) Thoughts?

NOTE: Free agents become available in 1978, which helps Toronto and Seattle begin to be competitive (though they're still awful).

Yes, I am anxiously awaiting the fix to get real rookies assigned to real teams in a historical sim. Without that, there's not really any point in a multi-year historical sim unless you are looking to do a full fantasy league.

Yeah I agree. I have two historicals stopped in September of season 1 waiting for this fix before I go any farther

I'm afraid the expansion team problem will not be resolved simply by adding a few rookies. But who knows?

You're right. He needs to implement/code the expansion draft.

The change was included in the latest patch. Disable amateur draft and rookies should be assigned to their historical teams. I tried it with 1976 and 1977. Toronto and Seattle had enough players, but not the players added via the expansion draft in real life. In my sim, the Jays lost over 100, the Mariners lost about 150 games. Obviously, not ideal.

I tried it with 1901 in a test sim and historical rookies were NOT imported to the game at all with the amateur draft disabled. Tested on both iOS and Android.

Shouldn't 1901 include accurate rosters, since it's the first season available? I would think so. I wonder why not. At this point, I'm not hopeful that we'll see action on this matter anytime soon.

My problem isn't expansion at this point. It's that historical rookies aren't being imported to original teams for me. I sim to 1902 and get no rookies with draft disabled.

i am lost. so O22 autoexpansion does not work when it worked in older versions?
Shouldn't this be a BUG REPORTED?
Why would they remove this feature??

I created a PT for this issue a while ago. Markus thought he had fixed it, but apparently not. The bug report remains open (priority: high).

My bad you are correct. The first one has to be checked but other had to be unchecked.

They are talking about ootp go! not ootp 22.
