Asian or Mexican/Hispanic Names?
I want to start an all Japanese solo league and an all Mexican solo League. How do I make my new league only generate those specific players?

You would have to mess with the name files. Basically, for Japanese names, use the anames.dat and afnames.dat. You would then copy those and rename them to names.dat, fnames.dat, lanames.dat and lafnames.dat. So you have three files for first names, but all with the same Japanese names and the same deal for the last names. For hispanic names, use the same method, only put the names from the lnames.dat and lfnames.dat files in the other dat files....
okay that sounds confusing to me reading it again, but honest, it isn't that tough. Last edited by slackmeisterPA; 04-25-2003 at 11:51 PM. |

Okay, here it is, step-by-step:
1. Backup old name files. 2. Delete names.dat, lanames.dat, fnames.dat and lafnames.dat. 3. Copy anames.dat twice. 4. Rename those copies names.dat and lanames.dat, respectively. 5. Copy afnames.dat twice. 5. Rename those copies fnames.dat and lafnames.dat. You're done, and will have name files to generate a Japanese league. (these files are in the Data file. NOTE: when you change the name files, it will be for ALL of your OOTP leagues, for every player generated after you change the files.) |
