New OOTP 22 public beta patch (version 22.6.56) available!

Important: This patch is only for OOTP 22 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version. It is also available via the Steam client with the public password below.
It is NOT compatible with the Mac OSX AppStore version!

Hi everybody!

We are close to launching the next official update early next week, so here is a new public beta, version 22.6.56.

Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta. This patch is somewhat compatible with the previous patch for online leagues - exports will work between versions, but once the commish has updated versions and uploaded a new league file, clients will need to be on this version as well to continue.

Changelist (22.6.56):
- Updated default roster sets and player ratings (need to start a new game for changes to apply)
- Updated rule 5 draft logic to encourage more picks
- Fixed live start issues for minor league results
- Adjusted AI minor leaguer promotions
- Fixed some scheduling issues when using historical minor leagues
- Fixed default helmet colors for KBO and MLB (applies when creating new games)
- Korean Version: Updated many translated text items. Localization is 99% complete.
- Added over 300 new facegens (mostly for the KBO)
- Added ballcaps and unis for KFL teams (same as parent teams)
- Set KFL to not allow foreigners
- Updated KBO draft order
- Set MLB Draft pool to display 90 days before draft
- Adjusted purchase price for players in ABL and LMB to $500,000
- Several other bug fixes and tweaks

How to access the beta on Steam:

• Quit OOTP 22 if it's running.
• Open Steam client -> Library
• Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 22
• Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
• Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: publicbeta22
• Click on "Check code"
• Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
• Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
• Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

If I try the public beta patch (22.6.56) for a few minutes and then disabled on steam public betas (steam automatically download the last official patch of the game 22.5.54) will be there any problems for my local files or even my saved games?

If you save a game while on on 56 you might not be able to open it again if you go back to the previous version.

I'm glad that finally the World Series trophy shows up in the playoff format I use (the KBO format). But...schedule issue is still there.

Historical schedules aren't loading for historical games without historical minors as well. Just created 1974. Had to manually load the shedule.

Are you still in the Preseason? You should be able to import the real schedule from a file from League Settings --> Functions --> Edit League Schedule. All of the real schedules are available in the Schedule file.

I've already reported it to the developers, and they said they need to fix something on it. Before, you were able to regenerate the schedule (which I use the default schedule) in my league. They said they changed something in the settings which causes it to use the exact same schedule each time even when you regenerate it.

I've gone in and loaded the real schedules for historical leagues without any issues. I imagine no matter what type of league you are running you can manually do that if there is a schedule file that represents your league format. It sounds like there is an issue with auto-generating schedules though.

There's not. My leagues are 30 teams, 16/14, 2 8 team divisions and 2 8 team divisions in each league respectively. They never played interleague play with that type of alignment.
