Graphic Glitches?

I do not know what happened but after upgrading to 54, my 3D players are messed up? Sorry about the water mark across the middle but, you can see the hitter is all just sort of messed up. Same with first base and the pitcher.

Ok no idea why the gif aint working.

I upgrade my display drivers, rebooted my computer, and still getting this same strange glitch.

Its also doing it in a brand new game in the OOTP stadiums as well. So this is not a user created stadium issue.

The patch updated player models. It's possible it didn't install correctly.

If you are on the standalone version, go to 'settings' > 'troubleshooting> force reinstall game data'. On Steam, right click on OOTP in the Steam client and go to 'properties' > 'local files' > 'verify integrity of game files'.

It should fix it, if the 'verify integrity of game files' process ran correctly. Worst case you might have to uninstall reinstall, but I'd rerun the verify local files integrity process first.

Well, this is the 3rd time running it, posting picture just to show that I have done it. So, I am guessing I am going to have to reinstall the game.

So whats the best way of going about doing a reinstall? Backing up all my games, reinstalling, and then installing my franchises from backup?

Ok, I reinstalled the game and it is still not fixed! Is there a file I can delete that has this graphics file in it that I can run the file verification and it will repair it? Can't believe a reinstall didn't fix this!

Ok, to fix this, I don't understand how I did it. I uninstalled under steam, changed the name of the OOTP 22 folder to out of the park 22 corrupt under steam on my computer. Then reinstalled. Then, it fixed the issue, I don't know. The corrupt file must have been in the data folder somewhere but I have a lot of crap to reinstall in my franchises now... all them stadiums and settings...

Ok, so I have everything back to normal again. It took an uninstall, rename old steam folder, reinstall, Then I had to import my online league from 21 to get that back, and then installed all my 22 franchises from backup, copied my stadium files over, sounds, jerseys, hats, logos, and images.

So, whatever file was corrupt would not repair itself and even after uninstall was still there in the parent folder. So until I changed the name of the old folder to corrupt and installed the game fresh, it did not fix the problem.

I am now back to normal but it took a whole day to get back to where I was before the patch. That was painful.

I am having the same issue - have already done all the troubleshooting 101

1. graphics drivers
2. verify files
3. change all graphics settings in games

I don't really want to go through all of the uninstall\reinstall as I have dozens of carefully constructed leagues. I do recall this happening once a year or so ago and then resolving itself in patch. would love to hear if anyone else has had this problem and\or solution

The graphics drivers etc are not going to help, the issue is that the player models changed this patch and somehow you still have the old files installed and they are not being properly overwritten by the patch installer, for some reason

Do you try the steps below?

I'm not really sure why it didn't work for twins_34, but for most folks, it should work:

If you are on the standalone version, go to 'settings' > 'troubleshooting> force reinstall game data'. On Steam, right click on OOTP in the Steam client and go to 'properties' > 'local files' > 'verify integrity of game files'.

If you do need to reinstall, you wouldn't need to delete any leagues you've created etc, you should just be able to uninstall, manually delete any files in the OOTP22/data folder that didn't delete (other than saves and modded files) and reinstall and your saves etc

reverified files and still the same issue.

wondering if my custom data path on solid state C drive (which I bought specifically to speed up OOTP) may be causing issue.

game is installed on D drive

have used this configuration for at least 5 years, so not sure why it would be an issue this time.

If you're using a custom data path, it's possible that it won't install the updated files to that location when steam re-verifies. You may have to manually copy from the default Steam data/ballparks/models to get updates. Depending on what custom setup you have, we would recommend at least copying over data/ballparks/models/misc/player, but possibly you can include folders further up if you want any other changes that may have come.

Tried the suggestions above (twice), and I'm still having the same problem on Mac OS. Hopefully the next patch will have a fix? Frustrating because I purchased OOTP 22 mostly because of the updated stadium graphics, but now this issue makes the overall graphics a downgrade

Can you try uninstalling and reinstalloing the game?

Um, am I going to lose all the data, records, etc I've accumulated if I do that? Wouldn't be worth it, in my mind.
