OOTP Go - May 28 Beta / Soft Launch in Canada & Australia Announced!

Hey baseball fans,

today is a pretty important day for us. The next step towards getting OOTP Go out to the masses is here. We will launch the game for iOS (minimum iOS version 11) and Android (minimum version 8.1) as a limited release in Canada and Australia on May 28 at 10 AM ET.

This “soft launch” is essentially a public beta for a fraction of our market. We want to be extra careful with releasing the game, so we have decided to use this approach, which is pretty much common practice in the mobile gaming industry nowadays.

The game is fully functional, and all in-app purchases done with this release are valid moving forward, of course.

During the next couple of weeks we will gather feedback and fix reported bugs, as well as improve the user experience based on the findings. Once we are 100% happy with the state of the game, we will launch it globally. The Korean localization will be part of the global launch.

For our users in Canada and Australia, please report bugs in the OOTP Go bug report forum here, with as much detail as possible, please. Thank you so much for your help!

Everybody else, we thank you for your patience! It won’t be long now, OOTP Go will be the next big step for our company into a great future.

I want to make sure. This the true release just earlier release for Canada and Australia?

Guess I'll be getting up early tomorrow...and praying that OOTP Go is several orders of magnitude better than Scrabble Go, which might have been the worst iOS upgrade ever, with hundreds of negative reviews battling it out with glowing reviews that must have been bots. (That's a pretty low bar, it was really that bad. As long as you don't have constant ads and pyrotechnic interruptions every time something happens, enforced grabbing of Facebook data and constant urges to spend money on in-app purchases, you'll be fine.)

Yes, it is fully functional. We will fix reported bugs, so the full global launch a couple of weeks later will be an improved version.

The seasons, yes. But of course, when you buy this year's (2021) MLB set, you will have to buy it again next year when we update it to 2022 data. The app itself will not be replaced, OOTP Go will always be OOTP Go, there are no versions. We will update it with new data, features and access to new PT versions along the way...

Also what max ammount of teams in a league?

Yes, league evolution is in Go.

In fictional games you can have 2 subleagues with a max of 4 divisions, which itself have a max of 16 teams each. Do the math

For league evolution does ghat include historical evolution?

Depending on how I read that its either 32, 64 or 128

Historical evolution works only if you own successive historical seasons.

I loved Manager so much this release is about to drive me crazy. Nothing and I mean nothing like holding the entire baseball world in your hands
