Sounds of Major League Baseball prior to 1941

Some of you are like me and you enjoy playing historical games or seasons with OOTP22. The forums here provide us links to things like historical ballparks, facegens, and even uniforms but one thing seems to be missing if one plays for example some 1927 season. The sounds do not appear to match the era. One will find that "1927" campaign using the game default sounds to feature organ music which was not used until 1941 at Wrigley. One will also find the default sounds to include things like jet airplanes and organized modern rallies. It just does not seem to fit.

I made a complete sounds file for use in historical stadiums prior to 1941. You should hear no organ music, no modern organized crowds, no planes, nor other sounds not suitable for some old radio broadcasts of early major league games. The file is Early Baseball Sounds3 and it includes once downloaded and unzipped a Notepad text file which describes its features along with ways to customize "EBS3" so that you can have games specifically for 1901 or earlier or have your park doing some 1940 contest.

Basically, download and unzip. Assuming you have a historic ballpark like silvam14's old Yankee Stadium or eriqjaffe's old Lane Field, open the park sounds file there. Use the text file directions to set up the specific ballpark sounds.

Have fun. https://www.mediafire.com/file/lhz8p...unds3.zip/file

I do like ambient frequency at default for all times and all in-game volumes at default but I do enjoy adjusting the in-game ambient volume based upon crowd size, crowd enthusiasm, and even my personal preference. However with large crowds who are paying attention to the action one may even set ambient volume at default normal using these early baseball sounds. Here is an example of a game with all volumes at default volume and frequency which has the early sounds placed in silvam14's Forbes Field circa 1937 along with some other custom sounds described in the text document:

(Pardon my video quality as my PC has no dedicated video card but you should be able to hear Early Baseball Sounds at default volume and frequency with an enthusiastic large crowd.)

Thanks for doing this project. I created a few files for my fictional league to replace the modern sounds a few years ago. Looks like you went more in depth. I will definitely add these to my league still in 1910.
