Best player to buy under 100K

Who would be the best player to buy under 100K that should hold up for a good while..

Obviously none of the Live reward cards as you can get them easily without buying them on the AH and if you are generating any significant amount of packs (tournaments and Twitch) they will be much less then 100K in actual PP spent.

Last I saw Ian Kinsler was going for just under 100K.

Several of the build a legend 100s can be had for under 100k. Probably the biggest bang for your buck right now is live Trout 100 which you can usually get in the 28k range.

With Trout’s injury, will his ratings be held where they are after the next update or does the injury create a risk in his value deteriorating a bit? Still a great value. Of course I’d love his defense to be a bit stronger in CF.

any player on the IL at the time of the update, doesn't get updated. So Trout is stuck with his current ratings for a while.

The one card I really want is Bob Carothers... not sure what he goes for though, but what an insane fun card

Just to note that this is not entirely correct.... players who are on IL for the entire month (so they don't have any statistics for that month) don't get updated. However, players that have only been injured for a part of the month can (and have) had their ratings updated.

thanks for this! could have sworn I knew what I was talking about, but upon closer examination you are correct.

examples: Max Stassi, Ender Inciarte were both on the IL as of April 26th but still did get updated for their work prior to the injury.

You give me hope for my stash of Byron Buxtons!

It'd be nice if Buxton and Chapman could jump to perfect.

Most people play him in LF, as he can train up to 72 which is a bit more palatable and at a less critical spot. Or DH him. I think he is about the best bang for your buck non live mission hitter, especially now that almost every historical diamond is used as part of a perfect mission outside of future legends/POTM cards. He does come with the risk of deterioration but if anyone is relatively safe its Mike Trout.
