Tax Question

How is it applied? Just a flat 10% on what the card went for?

If I sell a card for 1100 on the AH when I could have quick-sold it for 1k, is it a net loss?

no. you will always get the quicksell value.

I didn't know this either until a couple weeks ago.

I used to wonder all the time why people would post at a loss, now I do it to help others out.

Always? Even if I sold it for less than quick sell?

Or is it 10% on your profit then? Like...

(sale price - quicksell value) * 0.1?

A diamond card that is sold for 4001 to 4444 will ALWAYS net the seller 4000. The tax between 4001 and 4444 is 100%

A gold card that is sold for 1001 to 1111 will ALWAYS net the seller 1000. The tax between 1001 and 1111 is 100%

A perfect card that is sold for 20001 to 22222 will ALWAYS net the seller 20000. The tax between 20001 and 22222 is 100%

You CANNOT sell for less than QS

If you sell a Gold card in the AH for 1100 less the 10% tax you will net 990 which is less than the quicksell price of 1000.

I am not aware of a change to this? If there is, please post the shortcut to this?

Incorrect. It's just as bailey described.

Or said another way, the amount of PP you get is either the sold price times 0.9 or the quick-sell price, whichever is greater.

In your example, you would receive 1000 PP.

Try selling a bronze for 26 and see if you get 24 or 25.

I don't know but you can just sell a gold for 1050 in the game and receive 1000 for it. That is enough proof for me of how it works given that I literally saw it work that way.

I was actually trying to loophole the system hoping that if you sold under the price where tax took you under quicksell it was coded as no tax and you get the full selling price, but didn't happen. You always receive the higher of quicksell value or price - 10%.

It's been that way since the very beginning of PT. You cannot get less than the QS value of a card
