Player role when resigning contracts

Hi there, when I am resigning players, occasionally they will give me an error with regards to their role on the team. for example, it will say "i dont like my role of offensive forward, i'd prefer offensive forward"

If i try again, naturally the reputation of the conversation will decrease to the point where they don't want to resign anymore.

I've had success guessing the correct role, but again if I'm not successful at guessing the first few tries, they'll hate me real quick lol

I've seen a couple of reports like that, but haven't been able to reproduce it yet. One possibility: were the players you saw it with originally defencemen who became forwards, or vice-versa?

It's happened to me as well but I don't think it was defensemen who became forwards or vice versa.

What I do remember is getting a message that they didn't want to be an agitator and would rather be "none". The only problem was "none" wasn't showing up in the drop down menu.

yes, the player started on defence and before the first contract was up, swapped to RW

Ah, that's likely it, then. I'll do some more testing to see if I can figure out the exact circumstances so we can get rid of that problem.
