Promotion/Relegation Quickstart

How does the draft work in this? Are the top players in each of the four leagues relative to their league? Or are the top players in the tier two league all not good enough for the tier one league? I guess how do the draftees compare to each other throughout the leagues?

Also, is there a way to do the European Soccer style where there's no draft and there's a free for all?

EDIT: I got to the draft and see how it actually works.....My second question still stands, is there a way to do the European style where you have to try and sign the people you want?

In League Settings, go to Rules and, on the left-hand side [I think!], there's an option to disable the amateur draft. If you do that, teams will find their own players.

So the issue is the game isn't really designed to replicate draft quality players that appear out of the blue. What you'll find is that there aren't enough FAs being created. You'll have to create your own but the good thing is you can set the criteria of what type of FAs to create (older, experienced, young, prospects etc). I THINK the logic when you offer players should kick in so if you make an offer they'll probably wait a few days to see if anyone else makes an offer. But again I don't think it replicates the FA signing period 100%. Be ready to use some house rules so you won't take advantage of that.
