So I've been quietly working on a project the last couple of weeks, as it includes the main quickstart build along with some semi-fictional leagues (Leagues and Teams are real, some stadium names real, everything else---players and financials, are fictional).

Here is the catch for the European Leagues: no short 20/40/60 game seasons! They play anywhere from 100-144 games.

Some of these leagues have history, either with the weekend season or a full MLB/***/KBO style!

Other things to note:
Cuba split into two sub-leagues, starts in April
Triple-A merged into one league with two sub-leagues
ALL MiLB leagues renamed to fit their regions (South Atlantic League renamed Mid-Atlantic League)
Italy has ALL 34 Serie A teams, but split into two sub-leagues (one with 18, the other with 16)
The French League has a 12th team added, the St. Aubin Blue Jays, to balance out the league at 12 teams (two sub-leagues of six).

Now, onto the questions......

What is this?
This is the MLB + Full international and independent league quickstart with the World Baseball Classic, as well as the Olympics and Arizona Fall League activated. This also includes the Belgian League with real players, as well as the European Super League, Mavericks League, Puerto Rican Independent League, and the Southern States Independent League. It also features over 50 leagues from around the globe. Some teams are real, others are fictional (thus semi-fictional), with fictional players.

What roster build is this off of?
This is off of 22.2.39.

Do the European Leagues play the weekend series?
No. I adjusted each league to play anywhere from 90-162 game seasons to where they weren't just "weekend warriors" and play a full season.

What about the Australian Baseball League? Did you make any changes?
Yes, I did. They will no longer be a Thurs-Sun or Fri-Mon weekend league. They will play 90 games from October to January with their current playoff format in place (Top two in each division plus a wildcard), but adjusted to where the Claxton Shield is a Best-of-7.

Did you make any other changes to leagues?
Not that I can recall.

How are the finances?
They are balanced out to create and mimic a smaller hybrid independent/international model, where most likely the minimum salary is $40k/year.

What about League Reputations?
Just like finances, the vast majority are all 5 and below. This prevents a Tommy Edman or Blake Snell from playing in Sweden or Vietnam.

India, Pakistan, Egypt, Wales? Really? Why so in-depth?
These leagues were created mostly for a back story, or going back farther. Isedelyrod came up with the Indian League idea and I took my own spin on it, creating the league in 1951. Over the course of 70 seasons, expansion, rule changes, and other things have came along. I did the same with Egypt and Pakistan. There is a thing called Welsh Baseball that dates back to 1898, but I had the league begin in 1948 and is the ONLY league in the database to not have a Designated Hitter in a sub-league or the entire league.

Will I need to add anything to the game?
Possibly. This save has all of the realistic ballparks created on the Stadiums sub-forum. That's if you want to play 2D or 3D games outside of MLB. My AIO has been applied to this already and is good to go (but shameless plug the link is now in my signature below!) so no worries there.

Why no club tournaments?
You have to manually adjust them however you set it up to be (annually, every X years).

The European Championship is 16 teams and not 32. Why did you make it 32?
I did this because it is much easier than do a second or third tier championship to work your way up. Just to throw the personal bit in here, I've opted for my Champions Cup to be 64 clubs and not eight, to avoid the five tier system CEB has.

Where's college baseball?
OOTP cannot properly replicate college baseball so it will not be in any version unless things change. I cannot bring myself to do sixteen regionals, then have two teams advance to a Round of 32 and so forth. If the winner of a round-robin could advance, then Round 2 could be the Super Regionals. But then, you can't pod them off again for the College World Series, which would take the two pod winners for a fourth round championship series.

Actually, there is...you just have to manually do it and update it. I would always manually record the qualifier teams (in my last game save, I had the Champions, CEB, and Federations Cup as a three-tiered system). This time around, for my own personal on this, it'll be one big 64-team tournament played in March (since I'm making every Euro league run from March/April to August/September).

European Leagues are complete!

Now onto Africa.

I've completed the Asian leagues, now only have Tanzania and Zimbabwe left.

The next step after this will be to add these leagues to the real world.

I have four different save points of some leagues: 1994, 2008, 2019 (from OOTPXX), and 2020 (from last year--OOTP21). 1994 and 2008 were from leagues who had prior history and started at that point, but all fictional. Once Tanzania and Zimbabwe are completed, the expansion process in certain leagues (saves in 1994 and 2008) will begin.

The next step is going to be merge all leagues into the main file and create the quickstart!

The 1994 game is progressing. With the historical depths of the leagues involved, it roughly takes 20 minutes to sim one full year.

Update: This project is 92% complete. It takes approximately 20 minutes to simulate a calendar year with 24 leagues (six minor leagues amongst three of the international leagues) with a deep history (from 1951-2007 in these leagues created).

Next is to merge 2019 and 2020 together, then merge them all into one for 2020, then the final merge will be for 2021!

I just added the 24 missing Italian teams to the main database and moved around 100 players to those teams.

2019 leagues will be merged with the 1994 and 2008 leagues tonight, with 2020 coming most likely overnight.

YES! The second post will have details before I upload it. I just expanded Russia (to 12 teams) and India (again, now at 32 teams) as this was a plan all along.

With all of the African Leagues added, I've also added the African Cup, which was played in 2019 (South Africa won it IRL). Egypt beat Nigeria to take home the Cup.

Of course! The only thing is you have to manually change them every year or however many years you set it up for. That's what I do for the Konami Cup (Asia) and Champions Cup (Europe)

I just elected to not add it to the release for that reason.

We're almost there! It is still importing the template

EDIT: Four hours later and the template is still importing. It's a 634MB template file being added to the game, so I'll say it will be done this morning. The next thing to do is import the Senior League, then add the international tournaments (Premier12, Euro, Asian Games, Pan Am Games, Caribbean Cup, U-23 World Cup, and U-18 World Cup.

Barring me not having social plans later today, I should have it done and uploaded.
