Adding photos, classic logos and historical stadiums
I play quite a few different baseball sims and never have any trouble adding photos of stadiums or player images to the game but, for some reason, I find OOTP really daunting. I just picked up 22 and would like to add historical stadiums and use photos instead of facegen images if possible. Could someone point me in the right direction? Again, I'm fairly computer savvy but I always seem to have a hard time with OOTP. So hard that, in the previous versions, I haven't really bothered but would really like to jazz up this version. Thanks!

Photos go into the photos” folder, make sure photos have the correct label which I believe is first name_last name. In settings check ‘search for photos first’. Ball packs go into ballpark photo. Lots of info on getting them set up in Silvams ballpark post in mods.

Logos is the same procedure, they go into logo folder. All the folders I have mentioned are in the ‘data’ folder. Logos can be selected from eac teams page under team settings..logo, team colors etc.

Do you have photos for the game or do you need a photo pack?

Ceej has some photo packs: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...&postcount=105
Download, unzip, and copy the photos to the data/photos folder. |

Thanks everyone! Yes, I need photos and stadiums... logos too if that's possible. And I'm assuming once I move them into the right folder they will automatically appear where they should... or is there another step? Really appreciate the help!

Also, OOTP is in two places on my computer program files and documents... I think all this stuff goes in the folder under documents, correct? Finally, if I want to go season by season rather than just import all pictures which will only give m e player pics in their debut year I believe, what folder does it go in? There aren't any folders for individual seasons like some other games... or are there?

The game comes with historical logos, so you shouldn't need to find them elsewhere.
It would definitely be easier if you had the Steam version. You can still get the stadiums, but you'll need to download and install them manually. Silvam has all the info here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=287547 |

So I believe you're talking about "data" under program files, correct? And thanks! |

I'm not sure where the non-Steam version installs the files. But you should find an Out of the Park Baseball folder somewhere.

You'll want to find the data folder, since it contains the ballparks and photos folders.

I was able to subscribe to the mod on steam because I do have a steam account but not seeing a way to download. Presumably that's because I didn't purchase through steam I'm guessing. |

Here's a link to silvam's ballpark files:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DQH...ew?usp=sharing I hope it works! 1. Exit OOTP if it's open. 2. Back up or rename your ballparks folder and database folder (located inside your data folder). 3. Download and unzip the file at the link above. 4. Copy the ballparks folder and database folder to your data folder. It should be okay to overwrite files (as long as you performed step 1). 5. Start OOTP. Now, the historical ballparks should load automatically when you replay a season between 1901-2020. Last edited by pstrickert; 04-23-2021 at 09:04 PM. |
