Constant not responding message while advancing days
I just purchased OOTP 22 on Monday night.
It corresponded with me setting up a new Dell desktop. A big reason, I bought the new computer was the old HP (it had to be eight years old) seemed to be having issues handling OOTP. Whenever I advanced days, or even during games, I would get a not responding message along with a white screen. Sometimes it would last for minutes, other times for seconds. I figured the new computer would fix this. It has not. Could it because, I am playing in a fictional league that runs from the 2018 season to the 2033 which I am just starting. I am sure there are a huge amount of files in there, and that could be the sticking point. Any suggestions? |

A big thing to check with this sort of issue is what other programs you have running at the same time.
For example, sometimes you might have some anti-virus software that's scanning files as they get moved/written and since OOTP does this a lot, depending on the exact program and how it functions, this can slow things down a lot. So the first thing I'd recommend in a case like this is to set any anti-virus or anti-malware software (even Windows Defender if you're using that) to exclude OOTP's data folders and not scan those. At least that's the first thing to take a look at.

I will check that, I run Nortons, but to let you know.
Another note: It stalls for the first time at 4 percent and just keeps on stalling throughout the advance to the next day. This is a brand new, out of the box computer, and it is running at a snail's pace when it comes to advancing days. Compared to a computer which was built in 2012.
