"Funny" Story in game

Chicago's Fans Crushed as Paints Narrowly Miss Playoffs.

The Chicago Paints were mathematically pushed out of a playoff spot today, angry fans of the team bashed the team on social media.

"The team's GM put together all the pieces needed and we had a great team but management simply blew it," said one local.

"The Chicago Paints said they would turn the franchise around - I guess they meant 360 degrees," Tweeted one fan.

"Chicago needs to go back to school and study their chemistry - they obviously don't have any," blasted another fan.

The Chicago Paints, are expected to again have a very competitive squad in next year's American League Central Division playoff race.

That is the headline and story in my fictional league. Now the funny part of this is that it is August 25 in the season and there are still 32 games remaining in their season. The Paints are 38-92 so I am sure that the Chicago fans new that they weren't getting in the Playoffs a lot earlier than the actual elimination day.

The team hasn't been relevant in 5 season with less than 70 wins each year. The were projected as last place for this season so not sure what the fans thought or even the thought was with this article. They are the worst team in the league and have had a couple of injuries as well.

Just thought I would share a little of the comedy

Yeah, sometimes there are pretty funny storylines like that. I have seen teams finish the season with a really bad losing record and the story says fans were upset that they just missed the playoffs. The team record was like 60 - 102 or worse.

Yeah this team is 38-92 right now with 32 more to go. They were projected at the beginning of the season to go 70-92 so if they win their last 32 in a row they will hit their projection. Granted they have lost a couple of 3 star players to injury and their top prospect but they haven't won over 70 games I think in any of the previous 4 years either.
