New OOTP 22 public beta patch (version 22.2.37) available!

Important: This patch is only for OOTP 22 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version. It is also available via the Steam client with the public password below.
It is NOT compatible with the Mac OSX AppStore version!

Hi everybody!

Since the launch of patch 1 we have been monitoring feedback and continued to work on the Opening Day rosters. Now we're done and we are ready to launch the next patch this week. To give this a bit of a test run first, we have prepared a public beta build, version 22.2.37.

PT Users: Once launched officially, this patch will become mandatory to log into PT with the next server update on Monday, April 12.

We have tested this build for 24 hours and did not find any issues, however use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta. This patch is compatible with previous versions in online leagues.

Changelist (22.2.37):
- Updated default roster sets and player ratings (need to start a new game for changes to apply)
- Fixed some default park names in fictional MLB and KBO games
- Minor quickstart settings tweaks
- Fixed draft signability, redshirt undrafted college players going to free agency
- Removed online league options for skipping names.dat, retired_players.dat (often caused data issues)
- Fixed some live start issues (line scores, draft_list.csv)
- Fixed pitch location inconsistencies
- Added a few new facegen files
- Several other bug fixes and tweaks

How to access the beta on Steam:

• Quit OOTP 22 if it's running.
• Open Steam client -> Library
• Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 22
• Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
• Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: publicbeta22
• Click on "Check code"
• Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
• Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
• Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

No, we do not keep track of all the bugs we fix, sorry.

No, it's new in the standard game but the fictional still has the old one.

Thanks for this. But I had hoped that while you were under the hood, you also could have fixed the weather widget to remember the location where you had placed it when you shut down the program, like the other widgets do.

Downloaded successfully to my Mac Mini II. Disregard my earlier post. The consent screen was hidden. User error. Since this is a beta version of the patch, I saved the present OOTP 22. Will they present a conflict situation? Was I overly cautious??

Does this fix the visual presentation problems that users were reporting on iMacs and Macbook Pros? Or do I need to keep running in low resolution mode?
