Isolated player?

What does it mean when a player feels isolated? What can I do to make him happy? He plays in the top line with tons of ice time and has won two Stanley Cups in a row. So I don't get it why he is unhappy.

Do you have any other of his countrymen on the team? That's the number one thing.

He needs at least one teammate (possibly more, depending on the player) who speaks a common language with him. He'll eventually develop local language skills on his own, which will resolve the isolation, but adding a player (or players) of the same nationality avoids the wait for that to happen.

It's a Russian player. I have another Russian in the team. But yes, that could be it. I had a Slovak player earlier who felt isolated, so it seems to affect foreign players.

Thanks guys!

I have Guy Lapointe, Serge Savard, and Jacques Lemaire feeling isolated as teammates on a Canadian team (not Montreal)?

Another anti-Canadianism, like replacing all real Canadian scouts on American teams with fake American ones.

I have a Canadian player isolated who is fluent in French.
I have 6 other Canadians on my team.
Of those 6, 5 do not know french at all, only English
The remainder is fluent in French and basic in English.

I guess this is a case where the player in question needs more than 1 teammate who is fluent in French?
I'm also surprised I have 5 Canadians who are only fluent in English (and not even basic French).

Not too surprising since English tends to be the main language except for Quebec and New Brunswick. Also close to the borders with those 2 provinces.
