Can't return to game / 3 Batter Rule

Hi guys...

I accidentally, subbed in a pitcher as opposed to a pinch hitter, then subsequently pinch hit for my pitcher.

I took my bats, then when it came to my turn to pitch I am told that I have an incomplete lineup as my pitcher has had a Pinch hitter replace him.

However, I cannot replace my pinch hitter because he or my pitcher hasn't pitched to 3 batters. I'm stuck. If I try and return to the game it says that I have an incomplete lineup. Help.

You might have to use the batter to pitch potentially? Not sure how this would be handled IRL if I am being honest. Can you move the batter to a different position? So if you change the “P” to say “2B” does your 2B become empty?

No, you're not able to select "P" for any position players.

I managed to get out of it by leaving the game (it saved automatically) and then simulating the rest of the game after reopening.
