Tournament (Open 1875 cap) using players not even on my roster.

Please see screenshots below. In tournament Q-OPEN-CAP-1875-BO7-T32-ID23, almost none of the players on my roster were used. Instead, my team fielded players seemingly randomly pulled from my inventory of cards.
Screenshots 1 and 2 show my pitching staff and lineup as submitted (edit: I'm pretty sure I let the AI set up my pitching, so not sure where the 'none specified' reliever roles came from.) 3 and 4 show the cards actually used during one of the tournament games.

Weirdly, as I'm checking this and making screenshots, my roster is suddenly changing, only consisting of 17 players now - despite already being knocked out of this ongoing tournament.
What's happening here? This is a roster I definitely submitted and even exported b.t.w., so no case of failing to submit my team. Thanks.
