AI Trade Block / Untouchable status

I have assistant turned on for trades. They put a player on the trade block that I wanted to keep so I set that player to untouchable.

When I looked a few in-game days later, that player was back on the trade block with the untouchable status.

What exactly does the untouchable status do? I would assume it would keep them from being put on the trade block by the AI but apparently not. Would that player at least not get traded? or am I misunderstanding the role of untouchable flag?

Untouchable status just prevents other teams from making offers for the player - so if he's on the trading block but with untouchable status, the AI won't get any offers for him. But since you have trading set to be handled by the assistant, the AI may make its own offers involving him, and can put him on the trading block.

So the AI could still trade a player I have set as untouchable then?

I wish there was an option for something like "Assistant w/ approval" - where I could set the AI to handle something but would get final say (especially when in GM mode).

I ended up turning off the AI for trades. They traded a player I wanted to keep so I re-loaded the game before the trade and turned it off. That player went on to lead my team with 38 goals
