"Delay loading player images" setting

In the main settings menu, there is an option to 'Delay loading player images'. It's not quite clear to me what this setting does, and it's not included in the manual. Does anyone know the answer?

I believe this means a photo is only made if you click on that person. I think it’s a way to save space? So if you go twenty years and you never click on your 10th reliever then he would not have a photo

When you visit a screen that has player photos or FaceGens on it, it loads the page immediately and streams in the images, instead of having you wait for the images to load.

On my machine, the images flicker in pretty much immediately anyway, so I like it. It makes the UI feel more responsive.

Think I'll try this, I usually have the small pause while the game creates pics on demand for a new page
