***EDIT*** Ok so this has become MORE than just a homerun sounds post! There is everything from home run songs, announcer homeruns calls, ambient sounds, and more. Even have Harry Caray singing Take me out to the ball game!


I started with 2019 and started working backwards. If a team is NOT in 2018, 2017, that means the song was the same in 2019.

I am going to name them horn#_Name_of_File.ogg. Just rename the # to whatever number you need it to be. I have tested it in game and they do work! Just go into sounds, click on open sounds folder and rename the file # to whatever you want. reboot the game, and it should work fine.

After further testing... The horn sounds do need to have horn_name_of_file, horn1_name_of_file, horn2_name_of_file, horn3_name_of_file, horn4_name_of_file.

I am guessing, unlike ambience, it uses a different naming scheme. So, I will be going in and changing file names and uploading them to the server again.

I will just start with 15 and work my way up.

i'm confused, i thought that there were multiple horns for homeruns. is there only the 1? i was hoping to use each of the files for my team along with some of the teams in my division.

Yeah, you can. Make sure you have gone into game, under stadium, and have created a stadium folder. Then go into that folder and delete horn. Its just a fog horn, if you want to keep it then don't delete it.

Delete the intro files. They are them very annoying music blasting things that happen once in a while when someone comes up to bat that can scare the crap out of you. Like that really stupid laughing song.

So go into your stadium folder (Like in my example picture) keep or delete the horn there, and then copy the horn files I created and then where the # is on your files name them like mine with the horn1_name of file, horn2_name of file so pretty much just delete the # and place a 1, 2, 3, 4 in place of the #

Probably not. I don't think I would be able to get that far into it. That would be a lot of searching to find the right kind of sounds or going to actual games and recording and, well with the current events, that's kinda hard

I went into Edit Ballpark and theres a option to create a Sounds folder for the park i will use Eye of the Tiger in. i did that. OOTP opened that folder but it is currently empty. i put the Eye of the tiger into it.
Will the other default sounds populate the folder upon a restart of OOTP?

Change the # to a number. aka horn5_Eye_of_the_tiger or it will not work.

Then click on 3D stadium and then go back into sounds and see if it shows up under horn when you scroll down. It worked for me when I threw a sound into the stadium folder for the Indians. I play them next so, will see if it works if they hit a homerun.

BUT change the # to an actual number.

That was my fault. I moved things around to put things in master files and didn't fix the links. All should be fixed now.

Just added a new folder of announcers calling homeruns. Don't got them for all teams but almost all of them cause be used anywhere, except the Pirates lol, they are unique for the Pirates talking about cannon balls lol.

I removed the names of players that hit the homeruns and edited it to sound good so almost any of the other ones can be used where ever. Just remember to replace/rename the POUND SIGN # (or for you younger kids the hashtag sign) with a number that fits into your horn rotation.

What would be the directory for those of us who didn't buy on Steam? I'm not seeing the address you have listed. There are no "sounds" listed in the data folder? Just fonts, skins, background, team logos? And I don't see a "sounds" folder in any of my parks? I do see one listed under OOTP22. Sure I'm missing something here.

Go to OOTP settings, Troubleshooting, choose Open folder containing customizable data. Your sounds folder should be there.
