Rule 5 Picks-Is this normal?

I started a test run in the beta with the Rangers and RP Brett De Geus had been picked up in the Rule 5 in 2020. I had not realized it but he was on a Minor league team to start. He was given back to the Dodgers for not being on my major league roster. I did not know what had happened at the time but with full release of the game decided to start over. Is it normal for players rule 5 drafted prior to the start of the sim to be down there at the start? Or is that a roster issue?

It was normal in previous versions.

I would think that the Opening Day patch (or whenever it comes out) would have Rule V picks on the major league roster (or IL, if applicable). I hadn't noticed this in prior versions.

We're looking at some tweaks to get the rule 5 guys to be more likely to stick on the MLB rosters.

When I loaded the Tigers on release day, Akil Baddoo was buried in AA, I think. When I loaded up the beta patch, he was on the roster. (He's also sticking at leadoff against righties and accruing WAR!)

At minimum it just means I should pay more attention to rosters as I start a sim. He was marked with a ! symbol meaning he had to be on the active roster, which helped me to catch it
