OOTP draft pool potentials

I skipped out on OOTP21. Its not that 22 is my first OOTP game, I played 20 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just got busy with other things. Anyway, I noticed that player potential in drafts in this game was highly lowered in comparison to OOTP 20. I was looking back at what average player potential was in the first round in my OOTP20 save file, and found that the contrast was night and day. I counted 11 players in the upcoming draft pool in that game who were 5 star potential. In year 1 of my OOTP22 file, there are no 5 star players. Likewise, when looking for 4 star players, there is only 1 player in the year 1 draft in ootp22. In my ootp20 save, there were 18. Did the dev team change the likelyhood of player potentials in OOTP 21 or 22? I will say, the rarity, or lack there of, of high potential players in OOTP20 was kinda dumb, but it seems like the lack of high quality draft prospects in OOTP22 is similarly odd. There is of course the chance that I was extraordinarally lucky in OOTP20 with prospect pools, but I am still curious. If anyone has an answer, i would love to hear it.

Are you playing in fictional? How many rounds does your draft have and how many additional players are added to the draft in the settings? Could it be your scouting accuracy? Try turning it to full accuracy for both games and see if that changes things. There really could be a few different factors as to why that is.

Also if you play with relative ratings you will most likely not see as many very high potential. If you remove relative ratings you may see what you are looking for in ratings.

To answer some questions, Both files are set to 100% accurate scouting report. Its just the way I played in OOTP22. I know there were some changes to scouting, and i would like to experiment with that soon. Relative ratings were on, so i disabled them, but it seems like it did not affect much. I noticed, maybe 2 players who jumped up by half a star in terms of potential. The draft is set to the default of 30 rounds. The setting 'Generate Players for X Rounds', which i think dave1927p may be refering to (though i may be wrong), is set to 35
