Windows 8-10 only????

Steam has OOTP minimum requirements listed as working on Windows 8-10 only.

My main system uses windows 7 64 bit. I do not want to switch my operating system.

Will OOTP 22 work with Windows 7 64 bit? OOTP 21 did work just fine on my Windows 7 laptop.

I did try to post this in tech support but it would not let me post a new thread. That is why I posted it here.

Thank you for any help.

I run the beta since prerelease on Win 7 Pro 64bit without any issues.
Think that they don't mention Win7 anymore has to do with the fact that MS stopped their support and updates.
I don't know if Win 7 Home 32bit will work...

The game may or may not run on Windows 7 (in most cases it probably will) but there are no guarantees and there may be some issues.

I tested this on my 10 year old laptop (Windows 7, 64 bit) and the game worked fine. (Played around a bit and simulated a season).

I also have a Windows 7 64-bit system, and have run the beta with experiencing no issues so far. I am considering upgrading to Windows 10, but only because I just found out you can still upgrade for free.

I got one for ya. Tested O22 out on a Vista Ultimate machine. Worked like a charm.

(No 3D of course.)

Windows 7 64-bit here.

Game works just fine for me as well.

If anything, it's working better (smoother and faster operations) than 21.

For all the if-and-maybe I read from the devs, I expected slowness at the minimum. Maybe even crashes (I had next to none in 21).

Smooth for me, even in 3D mode. No crashes or slowdowns thus far from beta and now the release.

Thank you for the information.

I detest Windows 10.

The if and maybes come from the fact that they no longer test OOTP on those operating systems. Once the OS is no longer supported by their company (i.e. Microsoft) it is pretty standard for software companies to no longer spend the time to test/ensure their product works on those outdated systems...but it doesn't necessarily mean they don't.
