so i'm trying to figure out how to use sounds for my game but im not sure how any given sound would work because how would it know how to play at a certain time...like say a strike 3 call...how would it know to use that sound file? also is anyone aware of sites where i could find announcer files or any other type

Sound advice...
Pre-apology if I sound like I'm talking down—I don't know your skill level, and I'm pretty sure that you're a Windows user from seeing a few of your other posts...and I'm on a Mac. That said, it works pretty much the same.
1. Open the Settings from the Startup Screen 2. Select the Troubleshooting Tab 3. Select "Open folder containing customizable data" 4. Open the folder called Sounds All the modifiable sounds are stored here. All sounds need to be in .ogg format, and the game in sometimes persnickety about the .ogg's. During Beta, I had multiple crashes caused by a bad sound file. There is a naming convention to follow. 1. NO spaces in your filenames. 2. "strike_three3.ogg", for example, plays only after a strikeout. You can look down the list, and it's mostly common sense reading of the names to tell you when it plays. 3. You 'can' replace existing sounds. I don't. 4. When adding a sound of your own, be sure to put a number immediately before the extension...and make it a good high number so it doesn't collide with future additions. I usually start about at 500 now, just to be safe. 5. Put the .ogg into the Sounds folder that you opened initially. It'll play in all stadiums. 6. If you want to add a stadium specific sound, you can open the game. Select "League Settings" from the MLB menu. Then select Edit Ballparks. Select the Sound Tab. Then Click on Create Sounds Folder. Finally, click on Open Park Sounds Folder. Drop your .ogg files into this folder, and if all is well, they'll begin playing in game...but only in that one stadium. You'll see a handy list of prefixes you can use on the Sounds screen as well. Hope this helps...

Check the mods section. A few others and myself released sound packs you can add. Good instructions Ty Cobb!

If you want to "preview", you can go to the Parks page for any team, and there's a Sound tab. That gives a few more details about how the sound setup works. It's meant if you want to customize sounds specific to any park, but you can sort of use the same setup and move some files around that area manually if you want to have the sound changes to impact all games you play.
