FHM7 Hotfix 7.4.137 Now Available
A new hotfix update for Franchise Hockey Manager 7, version 7.4.137, has just been released to fix a critical issue in the 7.4.135 update.
To apply the update: -If you are playing the FastSpring version, just download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. -If you are playing the Steam version, the game will auto-update if you have that option active. If you don't see the update in your Steam update queue, you may need to exit and restart your Steam client. Unfortunately, a nasty crash bug evaded even the public beta test of the update, so a hotfix is necessary. But we'd already begun making changes for the next update, some of which were too far along to remove just for a simple hotfix, so there are a few other changes, including one significant one: optional full control of your farm teams' lines. Changes: -fixed crash when using the reset button on the filter -"Control Farm Teams - Lines" now gives the user full control of the lines of all playable farm teams. It also disables all AI intervention for all farm team lineup/line (not roster) decisons and forces the user to always have a valid lineup for each minor league game - i.e. if you don't have the right number of players dressed, have somebody ineligible in the lineup, have incomplete lines, etc., you get the same error messages he would with with your main team and get sent to the farm team's lines screen to rectify whatever the problem is. Note that it is not possible to control a farm team's lines if you have assistant control turned on for your own lines. -auto-qualify will no longer fail occasionally for some players who are assigned to farm teams -GSAA is now calculated properly in goalies' career stats -some of the RFA's selected by Seattle in the 20-21 entry draft will no longer give the "match offer" notification when the user attempts to sign them -lowered maximum potential of generated players with checking/defensive-type templates -added a mechanic to limit development of players of approximately NHL third-line potential in their 20's playing in leagues far below their level (will hopefully prevent some of the bloat in 2-2.5 star players in later years of the game) -Seattle expansion draft changed to 3 goalies + 27 skaters instead of separate F and D numbers (was preventing the team from making enough picks if the final team(s) didn't have players available of the position they needed) -restored broken function of "Unpredictable" player development status that can increase/decrease potentials of younger players, and made it much more likely to occur to goalies Last edited by JeffR; 03-23-2021 at 09:46 AM. |

Could be cool to have a few more options on created player .. such as player type .. defensive, checking, offensive, physical/non .. etc....

It still seems like the injuries are pretty high. Not sure if it can be adjusted easily.

Can we please get the FTP file options for a commish to upload and owners to download the file within the game? This is still quite broken and renders this game fairly useless for online leagues. It has been on their radar for months and would expand the interest for this game.

Power Play roles
What about a PP roles changing depending on the tactics?
example 1-3-1 (most used IMO) Point Left Side - Center Slot - Right Side Front of the net/Behind it would be a good fit for improve the game |

Minor League lines still not working
I made a new ECHL team after my first season, and even after updating I still can't save the team control settings. My original AHL team still saves and I can edit, but not my new echl team.

Got the save, thanks. Looks like the Staff option doesn't work, either. I'm not sure why it doesn't work that way when I set it up in another game; we'll have to take a closer look and see what the difference is.
